Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to complete a print job?
Many factors go into the speed of a print job. A simple 10’ x 8’ image can take just a few hours once the machine is all set up.
How big of an image can Wall Art MN print?
Technically there’s no limitation to the width or height of a potential image. Good note to remember that any image taller than 12 feet tall would require scaffolding which increases the total cost. Other wall limitations do occur as we can’t print closer than 10 inches from the ceiling and/or floor as well as roughly 3-4” from an “inside” corner. We can print all the way to any outside corner though.
Is the ink safe to be around?
100% vegan ink is used and does not require any special care to be taken during or after printing.
How much noise does the machine make?
There is a minor noise as the printhead moves up and down the spine of the machine. Typically cannot hear it outside of the room where it’s being used and will not disturb employees working near by.
How durable is the print after completion?
Since the machine uses UV light to cure the ink, the image is fully cured as the machine moves down the wall.
How can we protect the image even further?
In certain situations, an extra layer of protection may be desired. A simple clear coat can be applied to the wall to even further protect in heavy traffic areas.
Can we print images outside?
Exterior printing is available but does require more ideal environmental conditions and encounters more obstacles.
Do we have to provide Wall Art MN with our own image file?
If you do not have your own image already, we have our own image creator that can work with you to come up with the perfect mural or graphic to be printed.
What’s the cost to get a wall printed?
This has too many factors that play into the total cost of a printed image to give an exact square foot cost. An image that’s 12’ wide by 8’ tall (96 sqft) would cost between $1,500-$2,000 plus any image fees. Decrease the cost per image by doing 3, 4, or even 10 images. Most people will see a 50% lower cost per image when multiple walls are printed.
What type of surfaces can we print on?
Literally any vertical surface can be printed on. Drywall, plaster, glass, plywood, canvas, and metal to just name a few. Thinking of sprucing up your ceiling tiles? Let us print a landscape above your head!
